Despite the on-going COVID-19 challenges, Grade 3 teachers are trained, and new textbooks and teacher guides are delivered nationwide

In this unique interview, the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Australian Ambassador explain their common objective of giving all young children, especially those experiencing disadvantage, the chance of a good education.

They congratulate educational staff for ensuring the launch of the new Grade 3 curriculum and the nationwide training of the G3 teachers despite the COVID-19 challenges. Indeed, 612,600 Grade 3 curriculum textbooks and teacher guides have been produced and distributed to every district nationwide in time for the start of the new school year. 663 trainers have been fully prepared to train Grade 3 teachers. And since July this year, 9,645 Grade 3 teachers and 366 pedagogical advisors from the 148 districts are being trained across the country. The orientation workshops are held face to face and are designed to ensure full compliance with COVID-19 prevention measures.

The Minister and the Ambassador have attended one of those Grade 3 orientation training workshops and they shared their impressions in the video.
